Global and diverse
Vesuvius operates in 40 countries around the world, employing more than 11,000 people with 69 nationalities, making us a truly diverse business. We regard this diversity as a critical aspect of our success and future growth as it allows us to access the widest range of skills and experience. At the end of 2021, 15% of our overall workforce were women, which was an increase of 1% versus 2020. Over the past three years we have made visible progress in gender diversity. Females now represent 21% in our top management. Our ambition remains to reach 30% women in this tier by the end of 2025.

Our solutions and products greatly improve the quality of our customers’ products and the efficiency of their processes. All our new products and solutions are developed with value creation for our customers in mind. We have more than 200 technical experts supported by local development teams around the world to ensure we meet our customers’ needs. These local development laboratories play a lead role in customising products for customers, and qualifying new sources of key raw materials.
